It depends on your goals. Some go one time only and some go 2-3 times a week
How long is an appointment at Mercer Island Chiropractic?
The first and second visit takes 30-45 minutes each additional appointment is about 10 minutes
How does corrective care differ from regular chiropractic care?
The goal of corrective care is to restore the curves and the alignment from front to back. The spine will wear out and it will generate faster. If things are not lined up, the body will not work as well because of the bones of a place they can pinch nerves and I could shut down the flow of energy. We use X-rays of posture, range of motion, and many other tests to determine how healthy the spine as what needs to be done to correct it.

Any problems could potentially be helped if the body is working in function properly, which it should if the spine is lined up there’s no pressure in the spinal cord, and spinal nerves in the body will work and function better. How long does a typical course of corrective care last?
Typically somebody’s spine or posture can be changed in weeks. We take re-X-rays to see how things are progressing and improving.
What techniques or methods are used in corrective care? What are several techniques or methods for this office?
We focus on Petitbon and chiropractic biophysics. These are both excellent techniques for restoring the curve in Normal curve and alignment and getting it to stay that way. There are specific adjustments to help improve the curve in the deck.
Are there any risks or side effects associated with corrective care?

Do I need a referral from a medical doctor to receive corrective care?
Most of the time you do not need a referral from your MD. We do have a lot of medical doctors that we work with and that’s usually not a problem with getting a needed referral It’s very rare that insurance requires a referral. Our office can help with that to take care of the whole problem and all the insurance needs.
